Yes. Virtual healthcare has proven highly effective, offering patients numerous benefits. You will appreciate the ease of access and reduced travel time. The American Medical Association (AMA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) has proven that for many common conditions, virtual consultations are as effective as in-person visits. And if necessary, your practitioner may suggest an in-person visit to move forward with your treatment.
The initial consultation will be scheduled with one of our general practitioners. Once they have assessed the severity of your condition, they will then refer you to a specialist of your choice or one of our in-house specialists.
If you are not required to see a specialist but are undergoing treatment with one of the general physicians, you will be required to continue treatment under the care of that same physician to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
If you already have a family doctor, we kindly request that you ask your family doctor to fax GetSkinHelp a referral at 1-888-593-0807
If you do not have a family doctor, you can create your GetSkinHelp account using the registration tab located on the top left side of the screen. Once you’ve registered, and selected an appointment time with one of our general practitioners, they will provide you with a referral depending on the severity of your condition.
Yes! Whether it be email, prescriptions, or diagnoses, we hold ourselves to the same government standards as any “brick & mortar” medical clinic and are compliant with all Ontario regulations when it comes to the privacy and security of our patient’s digital information.
